In this role, the specialist will review and advise on interviews, articles, and communications to ensure they reflect DEI principles and inclusive language. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing internal processes for equity and accessibility, recommending improvements, and supporting the development of guidelines and resources that promote diverse representation. The specialist will collaborate with content creators, leadership, and partners to integrate DEI priorities into projects and campaigns, while tracking progress and sharing insights. This role also involves staying current on DEI best practices, especially as they relate to fintech and media, and providing training or briefings as needed.

  • Knowledge of inclusive language standards, bias mitigation, and equitable representation across diverse identities and global contexts.
  • Ability to assess policies and processes for equity, propose clear improvements, and support change implementation in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong skills in research, critical analysis, and synthesizing complex DEI concepts into practical guidance and actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with stakeholders at different seniority levels.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with the fintech ecosystem or broader financial services industry is preferred, along with interest in global DEI issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Business, Communications, Human Resources) or equivalent practical experience.
