About the Role

• Please note that this position is offered on a fixed-term employment contract for an initial period of approximately 2 to 2.5 years.

Responsibilities:

Integration & TSA Exit

• Financial Reporting: build and enhance the financial and commercial reporting currently provided under Transition Service Agreements, so that Biosciences EMEA has an independent, sustainable reporting capability in place ahead of TSA exit
• Data mapping and migration support: support the mapping of legacy financial and commercial hierarchies (product, customer, country, channel, cost center) to the desired target model
• Harmonization of definitions: work with Finance and the integration program to converge metric, hierarchy and reporting definitions across the legacy and acquiring organizations so that performance is comparable on a like-for-like basis
• Integration tracking: maintain the reporting that tracks integration milestones, revenue continuity and the financial performance through the integration lifecycle

Financial & Performance Reporting

• Revenue and margin reporting: build and maintain recurring reporting on revenue, gross margin, product mix and channel mix across EMEA countries, in line with definitions agreed with the EMEA finance team and the EMEA Controller
• Month-end and close support: support the EMEA region with financial close calendar, ensuring output is available, accurate and on time
• Variance analysis: support the tracking of actual performance against budget, forecast and prior year; identify and explain the drivers of variance and highlight items requiring management attention

Planning, Targets & Forecasting

• Forecast support: maintain the data sets underpinning the commercial forecast; measure forecast accuracy
• Business case support: provide the financial data and modelling support behind commercial proposals, investment cases and deal reviews

Profitability & Pricing Analytics

• Price realization and discounting: analyze realized price, discounting, rebates and free-of-charge activity and support impact analysis
• Deal and customer profitability: support analysis of instrument and reagent profitability, including lifetime value and pull-through
• Pricing KPI reporting: build and maintain pricing and profitability metrics, working alongside the Strategic Pricing and Finance team

Automation, Engineering & Enablement

• Data preparation: build and maintain repeatable data pipelines and models feeding the EMEA reporting estate
• Version control: maintain all queries, scripts, models and reporting logic in Git, using branching, pull requests and peer review as standard practice
• Automation: replace manual analysis steps with repeatable processes and reduce the time taken to answer recurring questions
• Documentation: maintain clear documentation of data sources, logic and process, so that analysis is reproducible, transferable and not dependent on any single individual

Requirements:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics or a related quantitative field; Master's a plus
• 2+ years of experience in commercial analytics, sales operations, data analytics or a comparable analytical role; strong graduates with relevant placement or internship experience will be considered
• Experience in Healthcare, MedTech, Pharma or Life Sciences is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Power BI: working knowledge of data modelling and report building, with the ability to develop into scalable, self-service dashboards.
• MS Excel: advanced, including large data sets, lookups, pivot tables and Power Query.
• MS PowerPoint: able to produce clear, executive-ready output.
• SQL: able to write and optimize queries against relational data sources.
• Python: working knowledge for data preparation, analysis and automation.
• Git: practical experience of version control for analytical code and reporting assets, including branching, pull requests, code review and repository hygiene.

Languages & Mobility

• Fluent English required; another European language preferred
• Willingness to travel occasionally within EMEA
