Job Title- Windows & SAP Infrastructure Engineer

Location- Japan (Anywhere in Japan as it's remote)

Role Summary

We are looking for a 10 to 15 years experienced Windows & SAP Azure Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure environments spanning On-Premises Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure infrastructure, SAP on Azure, and SAP HANA.

The role will focus on administration, troubleshooting, infrastructure support, availability, and integration across on-premises and Azure-hosted SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server environments across on-premises infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD) services, including users, groups, authentication, Group Policy, DNS, and domain-related issues.
• Support day-to-day operations of on-premises infrastructure, including Windows compute and related infrastructure services.
• Support SAP workloads hosted on Microsoft Azure, including the underlying Azure infrastructure.
• Provide infrastructure-level support for SAP HANA environments.
• Troubleshoot incidents spanning Windows, Active Directory, Azure infrastructure, SAP application infrastructure, and HANA components.
• Support hybrid infrastructure connectivity and dependencies between on-premises environments and Azure.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, patching, maintenance, and operational activities.
• Monitor infrastructure health, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Work closely with SAP Basis, Azure, network, security, and application teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration details.
• Follow enterprise security, compliance, change-management, and incident-management practices.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration
• Strong knowledge of on-premises infrastructure
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and authentication
• Microsoft Azure infrastructure knowledge
• Experience supporting SAP workloads on Azure
• Knowledge of SAP HANA infrastructure and architecture
• Windows and Azure infrastructure troubleshooting
• Hybrid on premises/Azure environments
• Infrastructure monitoring and performance troubleshooting
• Networking fundamentals relevant to Windows, Azure, and SAP environments

Preferred Skills

• Azure virtual machines, storage, networking, backup, and monitoring
• PowerShell or infrastructure automation experience
• Disaster recovery and business continuity concepts
• 10+ years of relevant IT/infrastructure experience.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications are preferred.
• SAP/Azure or SAP HANA-related certification or equivalent hands-on experience is desirable.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise and global delivery environments is preferred.
