Marketing & Communications Officer - Oak & Teak

Location: Hybrid (Lagos, Nigeria)

Reports To: Morenike Molehin (Personal Brand) & Oak and Teak Management

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee and elevate both the Morenike Molehin personal brand and Oak&Teak, a leading interior design company. This hybrid role requires someone who is both strategic and hands-on, able to develop and execute compelling PR and digital communications strategies while partnering with our social media managers to produce engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital communications, social media trends, and PR, and be able to creatively and effectively position both the personal brand and the company on a global stage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation & Strategy: Develop comprehensive digital communications strategies for both Morenike Molehin’s personal brand and Oak&Teak across all social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.). Create a content strategy tailored to each platform's audience. Work closely with designers to develop video and multimedia content for both brands.
2. Social Media Management: Create a brand guideline for both Morenike Molehin and Oak & Teak. Oversee daily social media activity for both Morenike Molehin and Oak&Teak, ensuring a consistent voice, style, and messaging. Ensure that our partners respond to comments, direct messages, and engage with followers to build a community around both brands.
3. Public Relations & Media Outreach: Develop and distribute press releases as needed, particularly for new initiatives, product launches, or events. Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and partners to secure press coverage and speaking engagements for both the personal brand and company. Run diverse ads for Morenike Molehin and Oak&Teak to introduce them to new audience.
4. Analytics & Reporting: Monitor social media metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as follower growth, engagement rate, and brand mentions. Provide monthly performance reports, highlighting successes and areas for improvement. Adjust strategies based on analytics and insights to continually improve performance.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with Morenike Molehin to ensure alignment between the personal brand and company messaging. Coordinate with designers and external teams to ensure the production of high-quality, on-brand content.
6. Influencer & Brand Partnerships: Research and identify potential influencers, brands, and collaborators to expand reach and amplify both the personal brand and company visibility.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in social media management, digital communications, or a related field.
• Strong experience with all major social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
• Basic photography and videography skills (especially with mobile devices) to create engaging content.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A creative mindset with a passion for staying up-to-date on trends, algorithms, and best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Experience in public relations and working with media outlets is a plus.
• Strong understanding of PR strategies and an ability to manage both personal and corporate brands effectively.

2. Improve engagement rates across all platforms.
3. Enhance overall brand awareness, including global reach and recognition.

Remuneration: N250,000 - N350,000
