Plant Manager

Role Description The Plant Manager is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing the operational performance of assigned plants or environmental facilities associated with ASSEDA’s programs. On a day-to-day basis, this role focuses on coordinating plant operations, monitoring production and resource usage, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and organizational standards. The Plant Manager will develop and adjust production plans, manage workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sustainable and efficient plant activities. This role also involves preparing operational reports, identifying process improvements, and implementing best practices that align with ASSEDA’s environmental education and sustainability goals. Regular virtual meetings, remote coordination with on-site staff, and clear communication with stakeholders are essential components of the position.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Plant Management and Plant Operations to oversee facility performance and daily activities.
• Candidates should possess skills in Operations Management and Production Planning to coordinate workflows and optimize resource utilization.
• Candidates should possess skills in Manufacturing Operations to understand production processes, quality standards, and efficiency improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks remotely.
• Experience implementing safety and environmental compliance practices in operational settings.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with on-site teams and external partners.
• Previous experience in plant or facility management, preferably in sustainability-focused or educational projects.
• Relevant technical or academic background in engineering, operations, environmental management, or a related field is beneficial.
