Dig deep. Find the needle. Grow the margin.
Do you love diving into data until you find that opportunity that makes the impossible business case possible? Do you get a kick out of turning a small, complex and creative insight into real profitability? And do you want to be the analytical engine and enabler behind a growing portfolio? Then you might be our new Portfolio Specialist within parallel import.
Make a real difference to a growing portfolio
Our business is growing fast, with more products, more markets and more competition on both the sales and purchasing side. That is why we have established Portfolio Management: a cross-functional department that steers demand and supply for our active portfolio across our European markets.
As Portfolio Specialist, you will work side by side with our Portfolio Managers and continuously find new ways to improve the profitability and accessibility of our active portfolio through new and cheaper sourcing, higher product availability and adding existing products to new sales markets. You will collaborate closely with Business Development, Sales, Purchasing, and regulatory, and your work will combine structured portfolio reviews with ad hoc tasks when changes in demand or supply call for fast and focused action.
Your primary tasks
- Continuously review the active portfolio to identify opportunities for optimization and development within the regulatory framework of each market.
- Find new, cheaper and alternative sourcing options that strengthen both profitability and product availability.
- Identify new sales opportunities for existing products together with Sales.
- Prepare analyses and business cases that support the Portfolio Managers’ decisions.
- Handle ad hoc optimization of specific products when demand or supply shifts, and show where action creates the most value.
Who are you?
Curious, persistent and never satisfied with the first answer. You love working with data, lots of it, you find energy in adding profitability, and you keep digging until you find the needle in the haystack. You understand that every opportunity must hold up within the regulatory requirements of each market, and you naturally keep building your regulatory knowledge and market dynamic know-how, so your analysis stays focused on what is possible. You are structured enough to drive continuous portfolio reviews and flexible enough to switch gears when an urgent request lands on your desk. You build strong relationships across the business, share your insights generously and challenge assumptions across the value chain constructively.
You may have a degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain or similar, and preferably some experience with data analysis, business cases or pricing, ideally from pharma within parallel import or generics. You are strong in Excel, navigate complex IT systems with ease and get energy from automating whatever can be automated. Experience with BI tools is a big plus, and you communicate fluently in English and Danish.
What we offer
Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management, you will join a brand-new department with strong ambitions, high visibility and a direct impact on 2care4’s profitability. We are moving towards an increasingly automated environment, where we challenge the "as is" and set the bar high for replacing manual tasks with smart systems and automated calculations, so more time goes to the analyses that matter. You will help shape that journey in a cooperative, informal culture where we share knowledge, use yesterday’s lessons to build a stronger tomorrow, and enjoy a good laugh along the way. You will get thorough onboarding, a manager who invests in your development and colleagues who are always ready to help, because when you grow, so does the portfolio.
Our head office in Esbjerg is your home base. You will work from Esbjerg at least two days a week, and during onboarding you will spend most of your time here, so you get the best possible start with the team and the business. Beyond that, you can use our growing office in Odense and work from home when it makes sense for you and the team. We believe the best results are created together, so most of your week will be spent at one of our offices. We value close communication and direct collaboration with our stakeholders and 5-15 days of traveling per year is expected.
