Procurement Specialist

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Procurement Specialist at Lonar CAD. The Procurement Specialist will manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including creating and processing purchase orders, coordinating with internal teams to forecast needs, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. Responsibilities include identifying and evaluating suppliers, maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing, and monitoring vendor performance to align with quality, cost, and timeline requirements. The role involves analyzing procurement data, optimizing sourcing strategies, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The Procurement Specialist will collaborate with engineering and project teams to support ongoing projects and contribute to cost-efficient, reliable supply chains.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Procurement and Purchase Orders to manage sourcing activities and purchasing workflows.
• Candidates should possess skills in Supplier Evaluation and Analytical Skills to assess vendor performance and make data-driven decisions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Contract Negotiation to secure favorable terms and maintain sustainable supplier relationships.
• Relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, or technical consulting environments is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• A diploma or degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems and basic proficiency in MS Office or similar tools.
