Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret detergent performance evaluation data for household, industrial, institutional, and commercial cleaning products.
- Assess cleaning effectiveness against different soil types, including grease, oils, protein-based stains, particulate matter, and mineral deposits.
- Evaluate test results relating to stain removal, detergency, soil suspension, rinsability, foam characteristics, and cleaning consistency.
- Review laboratory reports generated through standardized washing, cleaning, and surface-performance test procedures.
- Assess detergent performance across different water hardness levels, temperatures, concentrations, contact times, and application conditions.
- Evaluate the influence of surfactants, builders, enzymes, solvents, chelating agents, and other formulation ingredients on cleaning performance.
- Analyse comparative performance data for competing formulations and product variants.
- Review product compatibility with different substrates, fabrics, surfaces, and cleaning equipment.
- Assess formulation stability and identify potential relationships between physical properties and cleaning effectiveness.
- Investigate inconsistent performance results, unexpected formulation behaviour, and deviations from approved product specifications.
- Review test protocols, acceptance criteria, laboratory quality-control records, and analytical documentation.
- Coordinate remotely with testing laboratories to clarify results and recommend additional evaluations where necessary.
- Support the assessment of detergent concentration, dosage recommendations, and performance under intended conditions of use.
- Evaluate product performance claims against available technical evidence and validated test results.
- Prepare technical reports, comparative assessments, performance summaries, and evidence-based recommendations.
- Maintain traceable records of product evaluations, test results, deviations, and corrective action recommendations.
- Support formulation optimization projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor developments in detergent chemistry, cleaning technologies, testing methodologies, and relevant industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in detergent formulation, cleaning product testing, chemical product development, or performance evaluation.
- Strong understanding of surfactant chemistry, detergent formulation principles, and cleaning mechanisms.
- Experience interpreting detergency, stain removal, soil suspension, foam, rinsability, and surface compatibility data.
- Knowledge of detergent ingredients, including anionic and nonionic surfactants, builders, enzymes, solvents, and functional additives.
- Familiarity with standardized detergent and cleaning performance testing methods, including relevant ASTM, ISO, and industry-specific procedures.
- Understanding of the effects of water hardness, temperature, dosage, and substrate characteristics on cleaning results.
- Experience reviewing laboratory reports, product specifications, test protocols, and quality-control documentation.
- Knowledge of chemical product quality systems and relevant laboratory practices, including ISO/IEC 17025 principles.
- Ability to analyse performance trends, identify technical inconsistencies, and develop practical recommendations.
- Familiarity with product performance claim substantiation and technical documentation requirements.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and technical report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, data analysis applications, and electronic documentation systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with geographically distributed teams.
- Fully remote working arrangement within the stated UAE job location.
- Full-time senior technical role focused on detergent performance and cleaning product evaluation.
- Opportunities to contribute to formulation improvement and product development initiatives.
- Collaboration with formulation scientists, testing laboratories, manufacturers, and quality assurance teams.
