Senior Interior Designer

Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead the design and enhancement of luxury aircraft interiors, ensuring that cabin spaces reflect ASR Aviation’s brand standards and client expectations. This part-time hybrid role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing interior design concepts for private jets and helicopters, preparing design presentations and mood boards, and coordinating with engineering, operations, and vendors to ensure feasibility and quality. The role involves overseeing space planning within aircraft cabins, selecting FF&E and finishes, reviewing construction drawings, and providing design guidance throughout fit-out and refurbishment projects. The Senior Interior Designer will also participate in client meetings, interpret project briefs, manage timelines, and ensure designs align with safety regulations and aviation industry requirements.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Architecture skills, with proven experience in high-end or luxury projects.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Space Planning, particularly in compact or specialized environments such as aircraft, hospitality, or premium transportation.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Construction Drawings, including the ability to read, create, and coordinate technical documentation with engineering teams.
• Candidates should possess solid FF&E knowledge, including selecting materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures suitable for aviation standards and luxury interiors.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, and experience in aviation, hospitality, or high-end residential/commercial design are highly beneficial.
• Additional beneficial skills include CAD and 3D visualization software proficiency, strong project management and communication abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, international team environment.
