About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Event Correlation Specialist to analyze cybersecurity events, identify suspicious activity, and detect potential threats across enterprise IT environments. The successful candidate will use security monitoring tools and threat intelligence to investigate incidents, improve detection capabilities, and strengthen organizational security.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and correlate security events from SIEM platforms, endpoint systems, firewalls, and network devices.
• Investigate suspicious activities, security alerts, and potential cyber threats.
• Develop and optimize correlation rules, detection logic, and alert thresholds.
• Analyze logs and threat intelligence to identify attack patterns and indicators of compromise.
• Support incident response, threat hunting, and security investigation activities.
• Reduce false positives and improve alert accuracy and prioritization.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts, incident responders, and IT security teams remotely.
• Maintain investigation records and prepare security reports and recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in security monitoring, SIEM analysis, or threat detection.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or IBM QRadar.
• Understanding of network security, endpoint detection, incident response, and common attack techniques.
• Experience with log analysis, correlation rules, and threat intelligence.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or GIAC are an advantage.
