Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

Role Description The Owner at ProTec General Insurance Limited plays a strategic leadership role, overseeing the overall vision, direction, and performance of the company. In this part-time remote role, the Owner defines business objectives, guides product and service innovation, and ensures that customer experience remains at the center of all decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial and operational performance, making key strategic decisions, mentoring senior leaders, and representing the company with partners, regulators, and stakeholders. The Owner also monitors market trends, evaluates risks and opportunities, and supports continuous improvements in technology, processes, and governance.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and strategic management skills, with experience setting vision and long-term goals for an organization.
• Proven background in insurance, insurtech, financial services, or a related industry, including familiarity with general insurance products and regulations.
• Business development and stakeholder management abilities, including partnership building, negotiation, and relationship management.
• Financial acumen and analytical skills to interpret performance data, manage budgets, and evaluate investment decisions.
• Experience with digital innovation and technology-driven solutions, especially in enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to work remotely and collaborate across distributed teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptability, and a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and customer-centric business practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications in insurance or risk management are an asset.
