Senior HSE Specialist

Role Description The Senior HSE Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental standards across RB GALORE’s operations. This role involves developing and updating HSE policies and procedures that align with legal and industry requirements, particularly for warehousing, logistics, and remote work environments. Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments, reviewing incident reports, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring compliance with safety regulations. The Senior HSE Specialist will design and deliver safety training, promote workplace safety culture, and collaborate with operations, logistics, and customer support teams to ensure safe practices. The role also includes preparing HSE performance reports and advising leadership on continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong Health & Safety and Workplace Safety skills, with the ability to identify hazards and implement preventive measures.
• Experience in Occupational Health, with knowledge of ergonomics, remote work safety, and employee wellbeing.
• Proficiency in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including understanding of regulatory compliance and sustainable practices.
• Capability to design and deliver effective Safety Training programs for diverse teams.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in HSE/EHS (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
• Experience in e-commerce, logistics, warehousing, or related industries is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
