- Coordinate with ophthalmic technicians and clinical teams to clarify technical documentation requirements and resolve data quality issues.
- Prepare technical quality reports, testing performance summaries, exception logs, and improvement recommendations.
- Support internal audits and quality assurance reviews by organising diagnostic testing evidence and equipment documentation.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions related to testing inconsistencies, equipment performance, and documentation deficiencies.
- Assist with the review of new diagnostic equipment specifications, technical acceptance documentation, and system implementation records.
- Provide remote guidance on approved testing workflows, documentation practices, and quality assurance requirements.
- Support virtual training sessions for diagnostic teams on data quality, technical documentation, and standardised testing procedures.
- Monitor developments in ophthalmic diagnostic technologies, equipment standards, and relevant healthcare quality requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriate information security controls when reviewing patient-related diagnostic records.
- Bachelor's degree in Optometry, Ophthalmic Technology, Biomedical Science, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, or a related discipline.
- A postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmic Sciences, Clinical Technology, Healthcare Quality, or a relevant field is an advantage.
- Significant experience in ophthalmic diagnostics, eye-care technology, clinical testing quality assurance, or ophthalmic service operations.
- Strong understanding of common ophthalmic diagnostic procedures and technologies, including OCT, fundus imaging, visual field analysis, tonometry, and ocular biometry.
- Familiarity with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment specifications, testing workflows, and technical performance requirements.
- Knowledge of image quality assessment, measurement consistency, data completeness, and diagnostic record management.
- Experience reviewing ophthalmic testing documentation, equipment verification records, and technical quality reports.
- Understanding of patient data confidentiality, electronic health records, digital imaging systems, and secure information handling.
- Familiarity with ophthalmic imaging platforms, diagnostic software, and healthcare information systems.
- Knowledge of quality management principles, standard operating procedures, document control, and corrective action processes.
- Ability to identify technical inconsistencies and distinguish documentation or equipment-related issues from clinical interpretation matters.

- Excellent technical writing, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with ophthalmologists, optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, and biomedical engineering teams.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple review activities.
